The opportunity for a Junior Legal Associate has arisen within Brook Lane Capital in Athens, Greece.
We are looking for young professionals entering the market shortly after their qualification as an attorney (0-3 PQE), interested in an in-house role that will give them exposure to the full life-cycle of diverse and complex private equity transactions spanning from property and corporate acquisitions, structured financings, new developments, leasing activities as well as generic corporate law mandates.
The ideal candidate will have some exposure in general corporate and commercial law, real estate and financings.
As a Junior Legal Associate you are expected to:
- Participate in the day-to-day management of the legal operations;
- Get actively involved in cross-functional operations with investment, operations, asset management and development teams;
- Coordinate and monitor external counsels;
- Assist with the management of corporate financings and due diligence processes;
- Participate throughout the real assets lifecycle from acquisitions, to the holding phase including leasing activity and up to disposals;
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal documents, including property and corporate acquisition agreements, financing agreements, leasing contracts as well as maintaining corporate books, records and files.
Requirements
- Qualified to practice law in Greece
- 0-3 years of relevant working experience after qualification
- Fluency in speaking and drafting legal documentation in English and in Greek
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications
- Advanced communication, negotiation and analytical skills
- Organisation skills and ability to work independently
- Motivated and hard working with a high level of focus on work quality and attention to detail
