We are looking for a driven and talented Backend Software Engineer to join our team and take on the following responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain efficient, scalable and reliable backend systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Participate in the full development life cycle, from design to deployment
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop excellent user experiences
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and adopt new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Requirements
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem-solving and learning ability
- Excellent knowledge of Node.js (with JavaScript or TypeScript), or other server-side technologies
- Familiarity with non-relational database systems, such as MongoDB or Redis
- Ability to write automated tests and use testing frameworks, such as Jest or Mocha
- Strong understanding of REST API design principles
- Familiarity with Git
- Degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
- A passion for great UX
- Proven literacy in English
- Military obligations for male candidates must be fulfilled (if applicable)
Additional skills that will make you stand out:
- Familiarity with TDD and other testing practices
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as Heroku or AWS
- Experience with task planning and effort estimation
- Experience working on small to medium-sized, cross-functional, agile teams
- Familiarity with serverless technologies, such as AWS Lambda
- Familiarity with performance monitoring tools, such as New Relic or Datadog
- Contributions to open-source projects
