We are looking for a talented Mid-Level / Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team and take on the following responsibilities:
- Architect, design, develop and maintain efficient, scalable and reliable backend systems
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
- Participate in the full development life cycle, from design to deployment
- Work closely with cross-functional, agile teams to develop excellent user experiences
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Support and mentor other team members
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and adopt new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Requirements
- 3+ years of industry experience in software development
- Strong skills in Node.js (with JavaScript or TypeScript), or other server-side technologies
- Strong background in non-relational database systems, such as MongoDB or Redis
- Testing mindset and an eye for clean code
- Experience in designing REST APIs
- Strong Git skills
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as Heroku or AWS
- Understanding of security principles and how they apply to backend systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent problem-solving and learning ability
- Strong background in Computer Science
- A passion for great UX
- Proven literacy in English
- Military obligations for male candidates must be fulfilled (if applicable)
- Bonus: Experience leading small to medium-sized teams
- Bonus: Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Bonus: Experience with serverless technologies, such as AWS Lambda
- Bonus: Strong background in relational databases and SQL
- Bonus: Experience with performance monitoring tools, such as New Relic or Datadog
