The Research Project Technical Delivery and Fundraising Manager will be responsible for:

• Management, Technical Coordination, Participation and Engagement in IT Research Projects (research activities, deliverables and work packages engagement) which UBITECH participates or leads;
• Coordination and/or contribution of research proposals editing;
• Participation in the research or/and commercial exploitation of research projects outcomes; and
• Technology screening and pursuing novel ideas in the field of Extreme-scale Data Management, Federated Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

What you will do:

More Specifically you will be engaged in the following activities:

• Leadership and organization of the WPs, Tasks, Deliverables and activities, for which UBITECH is responsible;
• Administrative and Technical Management of Research projects (PMs planning and monitoring, Planning technical development activities within a team; Perform EU established processes, reporting on project’s progress to the Team Leader);
• Participation in Dissemination, Communication, Clustering and Exploitation activities of an EU project;
• Participation in all technical, plenary and review meetings and workshops representing UBITECH team (presentation preparation and delivery in cooperation with the implementation team if required);
• Editing of scientific papers, white papers, publications related to the project’s achievements (in cooperation with the implementation team if required);
• Participation and representation of UBITECH (upon request and availability) in events, conferences, workshops, standardization bodies, industrial initiatives, exhibitions, etc, related to the projects and organization of the preparation of the supported material required (presentations, leaflets, etc.);
• Involvement in Requirements, System Specifications and use cases identification, analysis, homogenization, elicitation and prioritization required for the projects’ implementation (with regard to the execution of our activities);
• Scope definition, operation and execution of pilot use cases and demonstrators (with regard to the execution of our activities;
• Editing, authoring and delivery of deliverables, either led by UBITECH or/and other partners (of course, technical input may and should be requested from other partners and from the implementation team of UBITECH) ;
• Technical reporting to Task Leaders, WP Leaders, Coordinator and EC according to the management structures adopted in each project (when needed).

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science (BSc., MSc., or PhD.);
• Proven past experience in managing technical software development teams or equivalent (mandatory);
• Proven experience in supervision, mentoring, planning and delivery of Technical activities;
• Proven experience in Project Management and Teams Coordination;
• Proven experience in Proposals/Bids Preparation;
• Knowledge in Project Management tools;
• Knowledge in National and EC Funding Programmes amp; Instruments;
• 2+ years of experience in (Co-)Funded Projects (national and European) - specialization in Data Management, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud/Edge/Fog Computing research is considered a plus;
• Fluency in English;
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken;
• Methodical, problem solver, self-discipled and an effective decision maker.
