We are looking for a Senior Business Controller to oversee the business and financial operations of the Group by focusing on the delivery of high quality reporting and providing timely and accurate financial data.
Reporting to and working closely / supporting the Group’s Planning amp; Business Control Director, the role is responsible to:
- Lead and coordinate the gathering, consolidation, and analysis of operating and financial results for all three financial statements (Pamp;L, Balance Sheet, Cash Clow statements), including preparing internal and external reporting deliverables along with presenting, analysing and explaining new business updates, trends amp; drivers in close cooperation with the Business Owners;
- Drive the processes of Budget, Forecast and long-term Business Plan cycles, including enhancing Qualco’s corporate model and coordinating with stakeholders on assumptions amp; inputs;
- Have strong cost control capabilities with high attention to detail, being able to review and interpret financial variances between actual/budget/forecast figures;
- Key contributor providing executives with clear insights into drivers of business growth, risks, and opportunities;
- Serve as a key liaison and partner to cross-functional teams, including Finance, Accounting, Corporate Functions, and other teams to drive scalable analyses and insights;
- Assist with Management and Board business and financial planning, including presentations and key analysis requests along with ad hoc strategic and operational projects, as required;
- Explore trends and patterns through analysis on financial KPIs versus initial plans and prior period(s), while translating findings to actionable insights; and
- Propose changes to improve processes and find weaknesses within established Finance and IT systems, exploring and test.
Requirements
To be considered you should have:
- Experience of 10+ years working experience in IT, Professional Services, Big 4 firms and/or multinational organizations;
- University degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or equivalent;
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent and/or Financial Analysis certifications (CFA, ACCA, etc.) will be considered as assets;
- Solid financial reporting and presentation skills; able to explain financial concepts concisely and accurately;
- Detail-oriented and capable of multi-tasking and shifting priorities quickly under pressure and tight deadlines;
- Experience with complex ERP, BI, MIS systems, data analysis and reporting tools;
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with effective communication skills and strong business partnering acumen; and
- Comprehension of financial IT systems and exposure to proper control frameworks will be considered an asset.
