We are currently looking to fulfil a position of a Product Owner to join our team in Thessaloniki. Our company’s business model provides a unique opportunity for IT oriented professionals to take over the role of a Product Owner as leading member of diverse teams that undertake the development of products that range in size, scale, and type.
The core focus of this role is to manage and oversee the product implementation from start to finish, while leading the team on gathering requirements and guide the phases of implementation/ coordination and support while working with internal and/or external stakeholders and the development team to select, design, deploy and support on a wide variety of existing and new products.
The paramount need that must be covered is to lead diverse teams of experienced IT professionals as well as SMEs with broad scientific background on a spectrum of environmental domains. That will require the combination of your management skills along with advanced analytical business mindset. It is essential that you are comfortable working with cross-functional teams at all levels and can communicate/convey/translate complex technical concepts simply to your stakeholders that will lead the team into a successful implementation.

What you will be doing:
- Collaborate with internal and external contacts to analyze needs and create the product roadmap
- Gather requirements, design, and analyze the solution in functional and technical requirements and wireframes.
- Overseeing all stages of product creation including design and development, coordinate tests, and ensure and evaluate quality and performance.
- Managing the product backlog and prioritizing them based on changing requirements
- Developing user stories/ scenarios
- Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process
- Liaising with the product team and end-users to deliver updates
- Participating in Scrum meetings and product sprints
- Identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Be accountable for all aspects of quality and delivery in the development, testing, deployment, and production support of software.
- Provide senior management with regular updates on deliverable timeline and product status.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in applied / engineering sciences and / or computer science.
- Managing or participating in complex projects under demanding timelines.
- Excellent reporting, problem solving, and analytical skills.
- A confident communicator, with both technical and non-technical people.
- Excellent knowledge of English language.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Product Owner or Software Analyst or ICT Project Manager positions.
- Experience with issue tracking software (e.g., JIRA) and software development principles.
- MBA / PMP / Other Management degrees and qualifications.
- Agile Project Management experience (SCRUM).
