We are looking for an ambitious Senior Reporting Associate based in Athens, to join and support our group reporting department. By contributing to the overall efficient operation of the department and by helping the company be fully aware of its financial condition, this role can help the company make the right decisions and accomplish long-term success. The ideal candidate should have very good knowledge of reporting practices and accounting principles.
What you will focus on:
- Support the preparation of statutory consolidated financial statements
- Support the month-end closing process at Group Level
- Improve and standardize Reporting and Accounting processes and workflows
- Liaise with external auditors to support the group audit of financial statements
- Ensure proper application of accounting standards by the subsidiaries
- Ensure aligned reporting by the subsidiaries
- Assist with other accounting projects and/or ad hoc project
What we are looking for:
- BSc or Ba in Finance and Accounting or relevant field
- 5-7 years of experience coming from a similar position within an accounting firm or in-house accounting department
- Understanding of accounting principles and reporting practices
- Fluency in English
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong follow-up, prioritization, and attention to detail skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- A numbers-driven individual with analytical acumen
- Familiarity with Microsoft Navision accounting software will be considered a plus
