The role:
We are actively looking for an experienced Front End Software Engineer to join our Internet-of-Crops platform development team.
This is a crucial role within Centaur Analytics, working closely with our team to help enhance, develop, integrate microservices and features using cutting edge technologies.
The role will be part of a fast-paced environment with many deliverables and fluid focus changes based on business priorities. You should be able to understand the basics of UI/UX design and Client-Server Communication Mechanisms.
Requirements
What you will do:
- Design software solutions to meet business specifications
- Write clean code and tests to develop functional web applications
- Troubleshoot and debug applications when needed
- Produce maintainable software components that operate as part of a large multi-process system
- Receive task feature requests and plan the actions needed to accomplish it in a spec-compliant way
- Review and constructively comment on the software, testing and documentation of peers
- Apply technical expertise to investigate and resolve customer software issues
- Work independently and in close collaboration with team members
What we are looking for:
- A degree in computer science, engineering, or math
- Proven experience as a Front End developer or similar role
- Knowledge of professional software engineering and best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- Knowledge of multiple front-end technologies (e.g. AngularJS/Angular, HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, Webpack)
- Proficient in debugging
- Comfortable working in a Linux environment
- Familiarity with UI/UX design and attention to detail for customer facing interfaces
- Experience working in a high-performing agile team and ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Excellent knowledge of English language
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Well organized with attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
- Past work experience with AngularJS
- Experience with monitoring services, such as Kibana
- Knowledge of interacting with NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB
