PeopleCert is looking for an Assessment Development Assistant. The Assessment Development Assistant will support the team to develop qualifications and syllabuses, coordinate and contribute to the effective and efficient production and maintenance of PeopleCert's qualification and assessment collateral.

As an Assessment Development Assistant your tasks will include the following:

  • Work with Portfolio Development Managers and Leads to ensure the necessary support for the maintenance and update of products (qualifications)
  • Liaise with and coordinate between internal teams, subject matter experts and other key stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and contribute to qualification/syllabus development and assessment design
  • Coordinate the production of assessment materials to an agreed schedule and budget (case studies, question papers/banks, rationales, sample exam material, etc.).
  • Coordinate chief examiner and examiner activity (exam panels, question writing, exam review)
  • Coordinate and carry out reviews and quality of exam material
  • Work with the Translation team to ensure examination materials are delivered to the required quality (accessible for a global audience/translatable)
  • Work with PeopleCert /ATOs/other key stakeholders to build successful relationships and support successful exam delivery
  • Work closely with the Accreditation team, as required
  • Assist with the collation and analysis of examination data
  • Manage the resolution of exam related queries (from internal and external stakeholders)
  • Manage own learning and development in assessment and quality principles and practice.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a similar field
  • Experience in development, production, and delivery of examination services
  • Advanced computer literacy is required. ECDL Advanced level certification is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail, and quality focus
  • Strong administration skills and experience

  • Able to build successful relationships with colleagues and external organisations
  • Able to put forward solutions to problems
  • People management/mediation skills

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check (the results of which must be acceptable to PeopleCert and the HO) prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:

  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
