DWH Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Build the environment required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources.
• Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key business performance metrics
• Work with stakeholders including Product, Data and Marketing teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
• Create data tools for data analysts that assist them in building and optimizing our products
• Work with data analytics to strive for greater functionality in our data systems
• Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
• Develop, implement, and administer databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Preparing scripts for updating database systems records and confirms successful execution

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field
• Previous experience as a data engineer or in a similar role (ideally 5 years).
• Technical expertise with data models and segmentation techniques
• Excellent analytic skills associated with working on unstructured data sets
• Hands-on experience with SQL database design
• Ability to perform root cause analysis on external and internal processes and data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions
