Currently we are looking for
- System Engineers - Telecom
to offer their services to one of our new and very promising international cooperation for the Global Telecommunications Market, from our company’s premises in Athens.
Requirements
Required skills:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Solid understanding of the OSI layers and experience in L2/L3.
- Technical knowledge and experience of BGP, OSPF, ISIS routing protocols, MPLS, QoS, peering and transit.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
- Network design, implementation, and management using project specific series routers, switches, load balancers.
- Experience of NMS platforms, network analytics tools, network emulators, system management tools
- Experience with LAN and WAN
- Experience with High Availability Mechanisms
- Proven experience in monitoring, testing and diagnosis network performance wrt potential bottlenecks, identifying possible solutions, working with developers to implement fixes
- Provide remote support to on-site engineers and customer
- Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning network communication systems.
- Identify potential network risks and issues, and provide effective technical solutions to mitigate these risks .
- Monitor and communicate progress against milestones, taking proactive remedial action where necessary
- Ability to work with all levels of staff within the team and outside the organization.
- A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-discipline to work even unsupervised, meeting milestones and deadlines, and producing deliverables to agreed standards.
- Processes orientation
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English
The following will be considered as an asset:
- CCN or relevant Certification
- Experience with management tools (e.g. IBM Doors, etc.)
- Experience with network emulators (e.g. GNS3, Packet Tracer, etc.)
- Experience gained at ISP or Telecom environment
The successful candidates will be part of the core team of highly qualified professionals, which will be established in Greece (Athens), being involved in the full software development lifecycle. They will have an enabling in product- specifics in Greece.
Prerequisites:
- Ability to travel abroad, as needed ( lt; 10% / after COVID)
- Participation in a technical test and a technical interview
