Job Description

We are looking for an e-Commerce amp; CRM Director to head up the Performance Marketing team. If you happen to be an inspiring leader who possesses great experience, commercial outlook, have bags of energy and are innovative, driven and highly motivated, we are excited to meet you.

Scope and Responsibilities

Within this role , you will manage large budgets and have acquisition and retention as a core deliverable. You and your team will consistently push yourselves to improve site traffic, ROAS and total customer performance.

You will be an experienced manager who can develop a team and ensure they are achieving their full potential. You will also have great relationship building skills with internal and external teams.

Your responsibilities will range from planning, implementing, analyzing and optimizing all online performance marketing activities around Paid Search, Organic Search, Email, Affiliate Marketing and Price Comparison Sites, leading continuous improvement across all these areas and looking for opportunities to drive more and better qualified traffic to the site.

  • Lead the budget management and channel selection strategy across all our performance media, bringing together brand plans, CRM plans into a coherent media plan
  • Support with the management and deployment of budgets across all channels and territories
  • Drive revenue, achieve targeted ROI and maintain positive KPI trends; Determine monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts and budgets.
  • Track and evaluate KPIs of all marketing channels (email, SEM, SEO, display, retargeting, shopping engines, affiliates, referring partners, social, etc.) and determine necessary adjustments to optimize overall marketing effectiveness in line with budgeted marketing spend.
  • Monitor, audit and/or manage the day-to-day search marketing activities across multiple search engines including researching, growing and optimizing keyword portfolios and bid management strategies and refining campaigns through ad copy tests, landing pages, negative keywords, etc.
  • Work with affiliate networks to recruit new affiliates and negotiate commissions, build relationships and increase engagement with existing affiliates, ensuring the correct and timely delivery of campaign materials.
  • Plan email-marketing calendar and executions in close cooperation with Brand Marketing. Manage the execution of these campaigns. Measure results and ROI of these campaigns. Build an email-target database and define opportunities to grow the size of the database.
  • Work with the Brand Marketing team to create aligned consumer communications across all channels (onsite, social, mobile, stores) and to ensure both strong commercial and consistent brand messages.
  • Site optimization: Define opportunities on site (structure) and content to drive Search Engine Optimization
  • UX/UI: Developing strategies to optimize user experience amp; maximize conversion rate amp; sales through analyzing user on-site behavior patterns in terms of navigation, eg checkout flow and engagement with content, via web analytics, heatmaps, funnels, recordings.
  • Lead the reporting and analysis of paid media activity and provide clear, concise and reliable commentary to key stakeholders
  • Oversee and drive the interrogation of analytical data to identify clear opportunities for growth and development
  • Champion tech developments internally that support automation, better performance, and increased efficiency
  • Support the measurement of brand perception online and how this is influenced by the media strategy

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or related field (or equivalent commercial experience) with 5 years in ecommerce retail experience, either on agency or client side
  • 7+ years of experience in performance based marketing with at least 2 years experience acting as a head of
  • Outstanding understanding/knowledge of Organic Search (required), Paid Search (required) and promotions, loyalty programs.
  • Ability to effectively manage a 3rd party external agencies.
  • Demonstrate great commercial amp; industry acumen with focus on delivering a return on budget and significantly impacting numbers
  • Be a passionate customer advocate, have the ability to analyse and manipulate data and have significant experience in digital and commercial marketing techniques
  • Excellent working knowledge of web analytics tools and the ability to consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Strong communication skills: written amp; oral and ability to quickly build strong relationships
  • Strong and dynamic leader who can inspire the current team as well as attract new talent to the business
