As a Back Office Analyst, you will be responsible for validating operational, transactional, financial, and reporting functions as determined by mutual agreement with all counter-parties in each territory. You will lead the effort for new territories and maintain reporting for all established territories. You will be also expected to identify and correct any operational issues and provide guidance on potential issues that could impact future business in each territory and identify problems and provide quick, viable, and lasting solutions. Depending on the risk and severity, the reporting could be daily, weekly, or monthly and will be collated and provided to the Manager at agreed intervals.

What you will do

  • Identify and reconcile differences in reporting between all counter-parties within each territory
  • Report and correct on any systematic failures in operations and use all available resources to create an appropriate and lasting solutions
  • Investigate and validate third-party explanation about the reasons for an identified operational failure
  • Understand the contract between the parties and validate that all costs, fees, and payments to the parties are correct and based on agreed terms
  • Internal audit that all MFS products function as expected in the calculations of fees and payments due
  • Confirm system payments and timing, from CVAS disbursements through all intermediaries to the end customer, and repayments back to CVAS
  • Prepare and present to the credit and executive committees identification of financial corrections and on implementation of final solution for highest risk levels, as identified by the same committees
  • Because of familiarity of legacy issues with some partners, the Back Office Analyst will have a proposed alternative operation ready for new territories where these issues could re-occur
  • Suggests modifications and strategic adjustments to operations and reporting where required
  • Works with all MFS group members to design and implement new standardized reports through the reporting portal.
  • Amends current reports from reporting portal to create a standard model across all territories
  • Creates a daily ‘red flag’ report for certain KPI that will alert the Manager and team to any issues across the business

What you will bring

  • 3 years’ hands-on experience in actuarial, Financial, or operational audit services
  • University degree Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Financial, IT, or Risk Management
  • Highly developed and Proficient skillset in Excel and SQL
  • Strong analytical and problem solver skills. Ability to think creatively outside the box and resolve complex business problems
  • Ability to make informed and logical management decisions
  • Can apply economic theory and research to daily practical management activity
  • Independency, interpersonal skills with fluency in English, ability to demonstrate the highest level interpersonal, conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent teamwork and experience in dealing with various company stakeholders in a professional, and confident demeanor with the ability to remain calm and think analytically during stressful situations
  • Highly motivated independent self starter with affinity for strategic thinking, who demonstrates a pro-activeness responsiveness and accepts responsibility and accountability for tasks delegated
