Site Manager (Construction - Crete)

ICAP Employment Solutions, on behalf of its client, is seeking to recruit candidates for the position of Site Manager, in Heraklion Crete.

Role description

The Site Manager is responsible for the onsite implementation of the project such that it is completed in a value-creating, cost-efficient and proactive way, whilst demonstrating a personal commitment to safety and encouraging others to work safely through training, briefing and personal example.

The Site Manager will:

• Maintain the daily site diary and progress reports including signature by the client
• Issue weekly progress reports
• Provide up to date data for inclusion in the monthly report
• Conduct regular tours of site and keep daily photographic record of progress
• Manage site Quality in compliance with company's procedures and client requirements
• Maintain the quality record of all installation works
• Maintain site records for inclusion in final documentation
• Audit sub-contractor works on site
• Ensure compliance with the required safety measures during work for the employees in construction as well as for third parties, as required by law.
• Submit all relevant documentation to the Supervising Authorities

Requirements

• Ideally 3 5 years Site experience in a similar role
• Proven working experience on-site for large scale construction projects
• Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures
• Excellent command of English amp; Greek
• Good MS Project knowledge and ideally good Primavera P6 knowledge
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule (nights and weekends, as needed)
• Competent in conflict and crisis management
• Leadership and human resources management skills
• Excellent time and project management skills
• Team spirited
