Job Description

The job holder will be responsible for RAN performance management and optimization as well as RAN dimensioning aspects.

Requirements

Key accountabilities

Responsible for:

• RAN performance assessment and optimization. Analysis of service/ field trial KPIs and related signaling processes. Monitoring and analysis/ optimization of network KPIs. Elaborate on KPI deviations, detect and identify patterns of problematic behavior, articulate remedy plans including site re-design and system parameter interventions
• RAN dimensioning at site/node-B level. Analysis of traffic trends, elaboration on site capacity limitations and definition of detailed capacity upgrade plans
• RAN activations. Detailed planning of required activation data frequencies, scrambling codes, PCIs, neighbor cells etc. - for new sites, sectors, cells as per site rollout and capacity upgrade plans
• Liaison with all involved parties as required in the frame of detailed RAN optimization and capacity planning (plan, design and implement). Project management and reporting of RAN projects as per business needs

Qualifications amp; core competencies

Essential:

• Postgraduate degree in Telecoms (MSc or equivalent)
• In depth knowledge and understanding of GSM, UMTS, LTE and TCP/IP technologies.
• Familiar with RAN Design, Dimensioning and Performance Management Aspects.
• IT skills/ experience (SQL, web developer)
• Very good knowledge of MS office (excel, powerpoint)
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in both Greek and English language
• Strong skills in building presentations and reports
• Strong communication, influence and relationship building skills
• Analytic thinking and problem solving capability
• Team-player
• Driving License

Desired

• Familiar with RAN system counters and Performance Management systems
• Specialty in signaling trace analysis, high focus on the mobile data services.
• Relevant working experience (RAN)
