Our company is expanding fast, both in Greece and internationally and so are our needs in financial controlling and reporting. Since we like to think ourselves as compulsive innovators, we have already deployed a series of automations in our finance database and basic reporting and we would like to take it one step further.
As the finance go-to person of the company your role will initially be to sustain and optimise all key finance reports in the most intelligent and automated way (with the help of our data scientists/analysts team). You will be also responsible for analysing and reporting key Financial trends (both of our company and key competitors) as well as working together with key stakeholders to formulate and manage our budget. Last but not least, you will play a key role in representing our Finance component to key stakeholders (leadership team and investors).
You will be reporting directly to CSO (Chief Strategy Officer) and will work in close cooperation with the Business Intelligence team. Therefore, if you see yourself as a solid financial analyst who would like to grow your analytical capabilities, by working together with experienced analysts/data scientists while using the top analytical and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) then this is the right job for you!
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting e.g. Pamp;L, CashFlow
- Set-up key Financial statements e.g. Balance sheets, Income statements, CashFlow statements in close cooperation with company’s accounting team
- Be the key contact person for company’s accounting team
- Reconcile key financial reporting with company’s management reporting
- Plan monthly and annual budgets and overview/optimise budget processes
- Play a key role in finding best funding opportunities for the company e.g. tracking industry’s VC funds, competition, finance events, etc.
- Significantly contribute in communication and finance material between company and key stakeholders (responsible for online and offline reporting)
- Create reports and visualizations to generate value-adding insights and recommendations using our relevant tools
- Identify and recommend opportunities to automate procedures, with the help of the Business Intelligence team, in data gathering or report building
Requirements
- Experience in greek GAAP and reporting
- Extremely fluent in reading and creating key financial statements Pamp;l, Balance sheets, Income statements, CashFlow statements
- 3-5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience. Experience in fund-raising will be appreciated
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail
- Team player by nature and belief
- Passion for personal growth with an open-mind and innovative mindset
- Willingness to collaborate cross-functionally
- University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or similar from a top tier university
