Job Description
The Publication Knowledge Graph team is dedicated to aggregate, integrate, disambiguate and analyze worldwide research content delivering a wide range of services in the areas of entity disambiguation, similarity analysis amp; content-based recommendation and research analytics.
We are looking for talented, experienced and self-driven Big Data / Machine Learning engineers to expand our AI team in the areas of:
- Information Retrieval amp; Search
- Representation Learning amp; Recommendation
- Text mining amp; Natural Language Processing
- Machine Learning Engineering including Deep Learning
As Part Of Our AI Team
- You will work on state-of-the-art ML techniques (including deep learning) amp; data pipelines to process and analyze large-scale, text-enriched heterogeneous information networks capturing worldwide research content to deliver a wide range of information retrieval, text mining, similarity analysis and recommendation services.
- You will design, develop amp; deploy high-performance AI-powered services on top of big data infrastructures amp; distributed processing frameworks, NoSQL backends amp; search engines.
- You will be involved in all steps of the publication knowledge graph platform from data collection, data integration amp; disambiguation to representation learning, search, ranking amp; recommendation.

Senior-level ML engineers preferred, but all levels may apply.

Requirements
MUST HAVE:
- MSc with a strong GPA in Computer Science or Machine Learning fields
- A passion for Machine Learning amp; Big Data processing
- Strong development skills in both Java amp; Python implementing production services at scale
- Experience with big data engineering technologies, NoSQL backends and best practices (e.g., Elasticsearch, Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, BigQuery)
- Solid background in Computer Science with good understanding of data structures, algorithms, relational DBs and SQL
- Good understanding and hands-on experience in some of the following areas: text analysis, representation learning, natural language understanding (NLU) models, deep learning, information retrieval, content-based recommendation
- Experience in developing and deploying ML services and solutions as part of a production system
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Gensim, SparkNLP, Hugging Face, spaCy, stanford NLP etc
- Proven ability to train, tune and evaluate ML models
- Team player who enjoys working collaboratively
- Fluency in English written and oral
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience in developing and deployment of large-scale commercial systems related to information retrieval, text mining, natural language processing or recommendation
- Familiarity with cloud technologies, such as Google Cloud, etc
- Familiarity with microservices architecture, IoC and DI frameworks (Java Spring / Spring boot, python Flask, etc)
- Git, Maven/SBT, Jenkins
