Main Tasks:
- Rollout management and supervision of fiber optic splicing, cabling and civil works implementation works.
- Performance of site survey for active cabinet installation, FTTH building’s connection and FTTx connections.
- Performance of quality control of the assigned projects to ensure that implementation works are performed according to agreed specifications.
- Performance of audits of construction operations to ensure works; completion in compliance with project specifications and monitoring safe work practices.
- Thorough understanding of progress reports, network materials installation instructions.
- Verification of as built documentation versus real status.
- Efficient handling and communication of works documentation and project reports.
Requirements
- Knowledge/experience on PON deployment (Fiber optic splicing, cabling, OTDR and PM measurements).
- Must have knowledge/experience of civil works supervision for network deployment (micro-trenching, manhole construction).
- Working knowledge and supervisory experience in underground distribution systems and construction.
- Experienced in all aspects of fiber optic and copper cable placement for outside plant application.
- Experienced in active cabinet activations and power up.
- Experience in supervising sub-contractors.
- Ability to read construction/design prints, splicing layout instructions and fiber measurements.
- Experience in fiber optic testing standards, equipment, and processes.
- Ability to read and understand design schematics and maps.
- Ability to communicate effectively in Greek and English both orally and in writing.
- Ability to use a computer and related software (Autocad, ArcGIS).
- Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, project).
- Availability to routine travel to local job sites for field engineering, site survey and auditing purposes.
- Ability to periodically travel to construction sites within Greece.
- Typically, a minimum of 3+ years related work experience with OSP/ISP deployment supervision, highly prefer 5+ years related work experience.
- Ability to work independently and be team oriented.
- Strong and thorough verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License.
