• Troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting the operation of the corporate voice and data infrastructure.
• Deploy and maintain systems to meet significant reliability and service level requirements
• Root cause analysis for failures to HW or SW level and drive corrective action
• Implement, policies and procedures to secure system infrastructure systems
• Monitoring the infrastructure incidents and making recommendations for improvement
• Plan and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization’s network
• Negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure systems/network products and services
• Assess and administer all equipment, hardware, and software upgrades
• Manage and ensure effectiveness of servers, and their associated operating systems and software
• Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, and so on
• Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems
• Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or MIS preferred, education requirement can be substituted with demonstrated commensurate experience
• Excellent knowledge of Linux-Windows distributions (Redhat, CentOS, Ubuntu, Debian, Win. Server 2008-2016)
• Excellent Knowledge of DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP.
• Extensive knowledge of enterprise Ethernet, VLANs, QOS, routing, switching and IP addressing
• Excellent Knowledge of CSF/LFD, maldet/clamav, ssh, proftpd/xinetd
• Excellent Knowledge of Mysql and Mssql Server administration.
• Excellent communication skills and experience effectively communicating with technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated efficient and effective use of problem-solving and task prioritization to solve complex network challenges
