Ex Machina (EXM) delivers environmental monitoring IoT solutions to weather-sensitive industries. EXM’s solutions are powered by machine learning for predictive analytics and custom sensor node hardware for weather/air/water/noise/soil sensing.

In successful yet small companies, there is usually a key person with multiple roles from secretary to accountant, from operations to marketing, and this role generally progresses towards managerial and business tasks as the company grows. We are looking for that person! Is it you? :-)

We assume this role will start from a competent accounting assistant that will help with the organization and running of the daily administrative operations of the company. Ultimately, you will help our accounting department run smoothly, and you will be involved in other operation, business, and marketing tasks if that is of interest to you.

You will be a key participant at this stage of our startup, gain experience in startup approaches in a constantly changing and growing environment, joining a team that makes cool stuff happen.

Responsibilities

• General office operational amp; administrative tasks
• Bookkeeping
• Traffic management
• Sales amp; marketing preparation material
• Create and update expense reports
• Prepare procurement documents for new projects
• Examine financial data and perform sanity check and validations
• Review and file payroll documents
• Purchase materials and plan inventory

Requirements

• Proven work experience as accountant or similar role
• Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
• Excellent communication skills amp; organizational skills
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
• Familiarity with finance regulations
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
• Strong sense of humour, because we are all fun to be around and want to keep it this way ;-)
