Job Description

PeopleCert is a global leader in the certification industry. We certify professionals on highly-valued methodologies and essential business skills. We are currently looking for a Course Developer, who will be responsible for developing, producing, importing, maintaining and updating certification, assessment content and education/training content in Business and IT subjects that are to be delivered through PeopleCert’s assessment systems as well as authors student books/manuals and trainer guides in the Business and IT domain. The Course Developer will be also responsible for supervising external associates such as item writers, content evaluators etc. and takes upon CTP Tutor duties, when deemed necessary, and actively participate and moderate Technical Committees for Business and IT Qualifications’ development tasks.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update qualification content (exam material and courseware) in a variety of domains for PeopleCert’s Business amp; IT portfolio
  • Co-ordinate, collaborate and supervise external associates, such as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Item Writers, Courseware Developers, Technical Committees, Technical Workgroups and Content Assessors/Reviewers
  • Evaluate domains/fields of interest, compare, contrast and map qualification syllabi and courseware learning objectives (in various domains/fields)
  • Understand qualification design and development processes and techniques as well as courseware instructional design.
  • Evaluate external collaborators and identify qualified candidates for open SME positions
  • Understands statistical analysis pertaining to qualification development, interprets statistical findings, proposes maintenance actions and produces evaluation reports

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT and/or Computer Science or any Science domain with an educational direction/perspective or similar discipline (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in content development
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Educational/Training sector
  • Understanding of the application of assessment development processes and techniques
  • Experience in training content/courseware development
  • Excellent command of Productivity Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet browsers and Search, Teams, SharePoint)
  • Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus)
  • Any additional languages at C2 level would be considered a plus

Working on Home Office (HO) Secure English Language Tests (SELTs)

Any person who is engaged by PeopleCert to work on the SELT service must undergo a Background Check prior to commencing their SELT duties. All SELT personnel will be required to complete a declaration (provided by PeopleCert) where the existence of any criminal record and/or bankruptcy must be declared.

  • If working on the SELT service in the UK, background checks will include:
  • A basic or enhanced Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Right to Work in the UK check (including nationality, identity and place of residence)
  • HO security check (Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) or Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
  • Financial background check
  • Employment reference check.
  • If working on the SELT service anywhere in the world (outside of the UK) personnel will undergo background checks that are equivalent to those stated for the UK.
