Job Description
We are a US based language learning startup. We are researching the market of Greece for the implementation of a business model to address the needs of the market of Greece in online language learning. The business model forecasts 5 Million Euros in annual revenue in 5 years.
We are looking for a Director of Studies and/ or a potential partner in this business endeavour to support the product development which is currently in embryo. This role will be the head of product development and is of vital importance for the implementation of the business model. You would be required to work closely with the main founder who is based in the US.
This position is REMOTE in the beginning.
Requirements
Essential qualifications (must have):
- Believe in herself/ himself and in their ability to succeed
- 10 years of experience in the language learning industry
- Certified English Language Instructor
- Experience in managing other language instructors.
- Experience in managing a foreign language center
- Experience in developing a curriculum in compliance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)
- Experience in coaching students into taking language proficiency tests.
- Proven reputation on the market of Greece
- Tech savvy
Desired qualifications (nice to have):
- Business acumen
- Currently operating a language learning center and is willing to take the step to the next level
- Author of books about languages, education, language interpretation, or language translation
