About the role
Welcome is looking for a Finance Business Intelligence Specialist to join our fast-growing and dynamic organization. As our Finance Business Intelligence Specialist, you will play a critical role in driving financial insights and enabling data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. You will be responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data, building financial models and forecasts, creating reports and dashboards, and providing actionable insights to the finance team and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Enhance and maintain financial models and forecasts.
- Conduct insightful analysis and expose major and minor weaknesses, providing formidable solutions that deliver great value.
- Improves existing financial and pricing reports and designs new ones. Provides suggestions and action points to the CFO.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to implement automation and transformation projects for the finance department.
- Create, distribute, and maintain financial reports and dashboards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and track key financial KPIs.
- Identify trends and anomalies in financial data and investigate root causes.
- Participate in financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or a similar role
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to communicate complex KPIs in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Experience in the travel industry is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL
- Out-of-the-box thinking.
