About Dyania Health
Dyania Health is a venture-backed company founded in 2019 which has developed Synapsis AI, an end-to-end system that combines a medically pre-adapted LLM with a physician-driven algorithmic reasoning engine to understand and assess clinical characteristics in electronic medical records. Synapsis AI is designed for installation within the healthcare system's computing environment or on healthcare system private clouds to automate the process of manual chart review of EMRs, without removing any data from the healthcare system. Synapsis AI completes pre-screening on both unstructured and structured patient data, and deploys medical logic with temporal sensitivity to match dynamically changing patient characteristics with complex clinical trial criteria during the exact window of time that a given EMR may qualify for study protocol criteria.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Engineer to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing Synapsis AI, contributing to the robustness and efficiency of our end-to-end system.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of robust back-end components of Synapsis AI, ensuring scalability and high-performance capabilities.
- Architect and optimize database structures, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of healthcare data in compliance with industry standards.
- Implement data storage and retrieval mechanisms for both unstructured and structured patient data.
- Work closely with front-end developers to integrate back-end functionalities with the user interface, ensuring a cohesive and user-friendly experience.
- Contribute to the enhancement of the algorithmic reasoning engine, collaborating with the Clinical and AI Research teams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in backend engineering.
- Strong proficiency in back-end technologies, databases, and system integration.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Fluency in modern Python (3.8+) and at least one Python Web framework.
- Experience with MongoDB.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Agile methodologies for software development.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Experience with two or more Web frameworks (in any language/platform).
- Exposure to cloud computing platforms and containerization.
- Familiarity with healthcare data structures and compliance requirements.
