Junior Energy Market Analyst

The role will:

• monitor natural gas markets including historical trends and future outlook
• manage natural gas agreements to minimize costs
• develop tools and models that facilitate and support demand forecasting
• participate in daily natural gas and power scheduling, according to existing procedures
• keep up-to-date with natural gas and power regulatory framework
• work closely with company’s Departments to manage ad hoc requests

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering (preferably Electrical or Mechanical or Computer Engineering) with specialization in Energy
• Experience in similar position is a plus
• Excellent use of Microsoft Office 365, with strong focus on complex excel spreadsheets
• Familiarity with programming tools for data analysis amp; reporting (Python, SQL) will be considered a plus
• Knowledge of the energy industry and understanding of the energy market dynamics
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Work equally well independently or as part of team
