What to expect:
- Work closely with clients' business and technology stakeholders to collect requirements, define project scope, and deliver customized solutions
- Take charge of designing and implementing scalable and effective data pipelines to align with clients' business goals
- Offer expert guidance on data engineering and testing best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Act as a mentor to junior team members, providing technical leadership throughout project development
- Oversee the entire development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment phases
- Lead and manage test management activities, including test strategy development, preparation, and execution across all testing phases (Unit Tests, ST, SIT, UAT, Perf), adhering to best practices
Requirements
Who You Are:
Technical qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of hands-on work experience in data engineering, with real-life engagements showcasing proficiency in more than three of the following areas: Data Management, Data Ingestion, Data modeling (ER models) techniques, Data Storing, Data Workflow / Scheduling, Business Intelligence or statistical analysis tools and techniques
- Demonstrated ability in architecting and implementing data engineering solutions using cloud-based data management platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Synapse, etc.)
- Additional experience in investigating and handling data quality issues
- Extensive knowledge and a proven track record of managing a technical team and client interactions
- Leadership experience in leading data engineering projects from conception to completion
- In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies and tools for data projects, with experience in both manual and automated testing
- Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) is advantageous
- Experience in project management methodologies such as Waterfall and/or Agile, along with relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum, etc.), is beneficial
General qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required
- Experience within the Telecom sector data domain is highly preferred
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset
- Ability to effectively collaborate within a team in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proficiency in managing tasks within large-scale projects
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail
- Capability to articulate technical concepts to business stakeholders or clients
- Advanced technical writing proficiency in both Greek and English
