Job Description

At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a CI/CD Automation Architect to join our UniQue team.

What will you be bringing to the team?

  • Set standards for automation processes, tools, and their usage across software development, testing, and operations
  • Define the technical and business requirements, and their relative priority, that automation policies and tools must meet
  • Enforce mechanisms to ensure compliance with automation policies
  • Document implementation and maintenance policies, for automation tool administration and management
  • Advice over move-to-production decisions
  • Evaluate and prototype with developers the best automation software and tools and provide comparisons and recommendations
  • Execute DevOps efficiency and performance assessments for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Analyse the end-to-end service stack for resiliency and efficiencies
  • Architect flexible and dynamic automation processes that are easily updated as changes occur
  • Lead design solutions for validating environment deployments
  • Design solutions capable of retrieving, altering, and reusing test data
  • Participate and contribute to discussions involving application architecture, configurations, systems performance tuning, and infrastructure and middleware integration
  • Improve CI/CD tools integration/operations, and full automation of CI/testing
  • Develop, scale, and control strategies, standards, guidelines, and governance of Continuous Integration/deployment systems
  • Write and maintain documentation
  • Troubleshoot issues along the CI/CD pipeline
  • Work directly with the third-party vendors to address CI/CD infrastructural issues

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • University degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Automation Architecture and/or CI/CD engineering
  • Application architecture skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and/or Microservices
  • Ability to understand new business contexts
  • Knowledge of IT standards and industry best practices
  • Knowledge of installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring software security pipeline tools
  • Strong knowledge of popular cloud computing platforms
  • Knowledge of ML/AI for automation
  • Strong understanding of network essentials and system administration exposure
  • Good knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g., web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus)
  • Good understanding of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
  • Ability to communicate in both technical and business language
  • Advanced knowledge in one or more scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python as well as experience using external APIs in automation code
  • Advanced knowledge and work experience on technologies like Azure Pipelines, SVN, and GIT
  • Experience in excerpting metrics and results from CI/CD security tools
  • Good understanding of Security/Privacy by Design
  • xcellent use of the Greek and English language (verbal amp; written)
