Job Overview
As a Technology Business Analyst at Ambience Services, you will be at the forefront of bridging the gap between IT and the business. You will analyze business needs, document requirements, and design technology solutions that improve business processes and systems. Your role is crucial in ensuring that technology investments deliver optimal business value.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements for new technology implementations
- Analyze current business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement or enhancement
- Develop detailed business requirement documents and functional specifications for technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives
- Work closely with IT developers and engineers to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Participate in the selection of appropriate technology solutions, evaluating potential vendors and software against business needs
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis for proposed technology projects to aid in decision-making
- Serve as a liaison between the business units and the IT department, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project objectives and timelines
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the final product meets business requirements and is free from defects
- Provide training and support to business users on new systems and technologies
- Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and innovations that may benefit the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a business analyst role in a technology-focused environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex business processes and develop creative solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency in business analysis methodologies and tools (e.g., BPMN, UML, Agile, Scrum).
- Experience with ERP, CRM, or other business systems is highly desirable
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with SQL, data analysis tools, and reporting software is a plus.
