The Deputy IT Director assists the IT Director in overseeing and managing the Information Technology department, ensuring the efficient operation of IT services to support the organization's goals. This role involves strategic planning, project management, supervising IT staff, and collaborating with other departments to implement technology solutions that enhance operational effectiveness.

As an IT Director, your tasks include the following:

  • Strategic IT Leadership:

-Collaborate with the IT Director to shape and execute IT strategies that align with our business objectives.

-Contribute to budget planning, resource optimization, and cost-effective IT solutions.

-Manage strategic partnerships with external vendors, ensuring service excellence and seamless integration of cutting-edge technologies.

-Evaluate and recommend innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency.

-Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals.

  • Project Excellence:

-Lead and contribute to the planning, execution, and monitoring of IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

-Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement in project management processes.

-Identify optimized IT solutions and systems (on both on premises and cloud) in collaboration with Chief Architect, DevOps, Business Analysis amp; Project Management Teams.

-Aligning IT infrastructure with current and future business requirements and goals

  • Rapid Technical Support:

-Oversee the IT support function, ensuring timely and effective resolution of hardware and software issues for end-users.

-Implement and maintain a robust ticketing system to track and analyze support requests, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

  • Disaster Recovery amp; Business Continuity:

-Contribute to the development and implementation of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimize IT risks.

  • Security and Compliance Excellence:

-Collaborate with the IT Director to establish and enforce IT security policies, conducting regular risk assessments and implementing measures to mitigate potential threats.

-Stay current on industry compliance standards and ensure the organization's adherence to regulatory requirements.

  • Continuous Learning Culture amp; Team Empowerment:

-Identify training needs for the IT team, coordinating professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and stay abreast of industry trends.

-Encourage a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the IT department.

-Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

-Conduct regular performance reviews, identify skill gaps, and implement training programs to enhance team capabilities.

-Work effectively in a team environment and liaise with other teams, in order to get the job done and reach the best possible results.

-Carry out any reasonably allocated duties and tasks, relevant to the role and the scope of activities by applying a flexible amp; adaptable customer centric approach to serve PeopleCert’s multinational presence and global operations across multiple time zones.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • More than 10 years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects
  • Excellent knowledge of computer systems, IT security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems for both on premises and cloud including PBX and IVR.
  • Excellent command of the English language (C2 level certification desired, LanguageCert C2 LTE or C2 IESOL certificate would be a plus) and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Competency on 2 or more virtualization platforms and consolidation techniques
