ActionAid Hellas (AAH) is searching for a PROJECT MANAGER with proven fundraising experience, to join a global movement of committed individuals working to further human rights and defeat poverty and raise the necessary funds needed to support the organization’s programs in Greece and abroad. his is a fixed term contract position.

We are an independent, international organization that has been working since 1972.

The position is ideal for candidates that wish to be part of an organization with diverse donor portfolio and enhance their fundraising capacities. Ideal candidates should have proven experience in handling various funding streams, such as charitable foundations, corporations, and High Net-worth Individuals.

The main duties of the PROJECT MANAGER will be:

  • Creating and implementing fundraising plans, with specific fundraising KPIs, according to ActionAid annual planning and current strategic planning
  • Drafting and submitting high-quality funding applications and communicating with various donors to secure sponsorships, donations, and other income.
  • Cultivating relationships with current and establishing relationships with potential donors.
  • Organizing medium and large-scale fundraising events.
  • Act as a liaison between the Donors and the ActionAid implementing departments for the successful design of applications, clear understanding of Donor specifications and smooth implementation.
  • Monitor the timely submission of high-quality reports to donors, by the departments responsible.
  • Track progress against fundraising objectives and systematically monitor amp; report performance according to set KPI’s and metrics.
  • Evaluate risks and propose and implement contingency plans proactively when necessary.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive proposals and grants documentation.
  • Evaluate potential partners and external collaborators (if applicable) using established assessment processes and tools.
  • Handle material preparation for proposals and stewardship activities for Donors: presentations, reports, letters, thank you notes, presents, cards, annual report, etc.
  • Handle data management system platforms and databases, internally and externally.
  • If required, contribute to developing departmental plans and budget.
  • If required, monitor allocated budget activities and expenditures, and adapt accordingly through the year.
  • If required, communicate frequently with volunteers / interns to ensure they are motivated and well placed.

Requirements

Therefore, we are currently recruiting a dynamic professional with:

  • An academic degree in the fields of Social Sciences/ Humanities / Political Studies/ Business Management
  • At least five (5) years of working experience in project management and fundraising for social projects, with an excellent knowledge of project implementation cycle and fundraising from diverse donors in Greece and internationally.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, experience in collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Experienced in reporting for diverse donors.
  • Ability to organize and coordinate many tasks.
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to think creatively and innovate.
  • Excellent use (both oral amp; written) of Greek and the English languages.
  • Excellent use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
