We are looking for a Director of UX who will be accountable for defining product designs and combining interfaces and workflows to enhance user experience. As a Director of UX in Dialectica you will:
- Lead and inspire the UX team
- Drive the Product Design strategy and integrate industry best practices in our product design workflow, as well as modern tooling.
- Design workflows for skilled users performing concurrent, complex tasks. Create mission-critical workflows with accompanying user interfaces that can be successfully used with a minimum of user confusion or error.
- Work closely, collaborate and communicate with product managers, developers, data analysts, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive the alignment of business requirements, user centered design methodology and technologies to create highly usable solutions.
- Act as a user experience evangelist and a catalyst for positive change within diversely skilled project teams.
- Be a hands-on contributor, creating UX/UI designs and user flows for features and products.
- Champion user research, and integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product UX updates.
Requirements
We have seen that people who successfully fit in this position have:
- At least 8 years of experience in Product Design, with 3+ years in a team leading position
- Thought leadership in the product design space
- Demonstrated ability in leading and designing end to end workflows, applications and interactive experiences
- Ability to manage ambiguity while progressing forward in proposing new solutions. Use UX research activities (contextual inquiry, interviews, testing, etc.) to aid a data driven approach in simplifying complex, information-rich and highly interactive workflows
- Proficiency with current design tools (i.e. Adobe XD, Figma, etc.)
- Empathy as leaders, with a strong focus on developing team members and managing their performance
- Demonstrated ability to define new approaches to complex design problems and convey solutions in the form of presentations, click through prototypes and design specifications
- Strong sense of urgency and ownership in your work
- Excellent eye for detail and a self-motivated problem solver
- Strong communication and collaboration skills (English is a must)
It's great, but not required if you have:
- A Degree in Digital Design or Graphic Design or Human-Computer Interaction
- Experience employing different user research methods and creation of interview study guides
- Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/XP)
- Familiarity with Zeplin, Jira, Confluence
