Job Description
We are currently looking for aspiring SAP Financials Consultants eager to kick-start or elevate their careers within our exceptional team of professionals in Athens. You will work on high-impact and challenging projects at large national and international organizations in the insurance sector.
This is a full-time position located in Athens, Greece. Currently, we are following a hybrid work model.
During your role, you will focus on the accountable and proactive execution of assigned tasks and streams within projects, as well as solution demos and other pre-sales initiatives.
To help you adjust to your role, we will offer you ongoing on-the-job training and coaching to ensure you are ready to go. Our experienced members will also play an important role in guiding you through our processes and projects.
During your tenure, you will develop the ability to:
- Understand basic insurance accounting concepts and analyze common business scenarios and processes across different functions of an insurance company including operations, underwriting, risk, accounting and finance.
- Understand and analyze business processes and capture requirements in the areas of Accounting and Finance, by recognizing technology as a business enabler and matching business needs to SAP solution capabilities.
- Configure, test and deploy scenarios in SAP S/4HANA Financial Products Subledger for Insurance, in the context of our current projects portfolio of IFRS 17 implementations
- Identify data requirements for the SAP solution and design appropriate mechanisms to transform and load data, including preparation of functional specifications for technical consultants.
- Perform testing and validations of the delivered solution, including data reconciliations
- Apply SAP methodologies, tools and accelerators to support the implementation of SAP solutions
- Stay up to date with the latest SAP innovations, new products amp; enhancements and apply them accordingly to client issues when needed
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude and adapt to changing priorities
Requirements
Must have
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics and Insurance / Actuarial Science, Technology (informatics, computer science, electrical engineering, or similar) or Finance amp; Accounting.
- A Master's degree in one of the above fields is highly valued
- Knowledge and a good understanding of fundamental accounting concepts and basic financial reporting as part of your degree or working experience.
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Team player with strong communication skills (written, verbal amp; presentation).
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Greek languages.
- Military obligations fulfilled for male candidates.
- Growth mindset and willingness to learn and develop.
Nice to have
- Relevant experience as an SAP Consultant, preferably in the context of Financial Accounting and Financial Reporting.
- Previous experience with financial reporting under IFRS.
- Background and experience within the professional services sector (business and/or technology consulting) or relevant experience in the sectors of Financial Services (Banking and Insurance).
