Our team is looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our Finance team. You will align with global purchasing activities and manage the purchasing activities of the company on strategic, tactical, and operative levels. You will also make sure that the company gets the best possible quality/price mix of necessary goods and services at the desired time, while the company remains compliant with legislative and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
What you’ll do:
- Promote procurement in the relevant entities and act as first point of contact for all procurement-related requests, questions and, issues
- Be responsible for local activities within the Procure-to-Pay process (e.g. communicates with requestors for purchase requests and approvals, places orders, monitors goods receive)
- Follow up on claims with relevant local suppliers and stakeholders
- Consult on catalogs, forms, and other standardized means of ordering
- Create and maintain local catalogs (e.g. price, articles, supplier data)
- Participate in tenders according to valid procurement model for relevant goods and services as well as valid policy (i.e. most likely obtain offer(s), potentially negotiate with supplier(s) and award contract by choosing the most competitive offer in collaboration with relevant stakeholders)
- Support local implementation of global policies, processes and tools (e.g. Ariba modules, Smartsheet)
- Track and report savings from local procurement activities
- Provide input for continuous improvement
What you’ll need:
- 2-4 years of experience in procurement or a comparable field as a Procurement Specialist, Procurement Assistant or Buyer
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the market
- Talent in negotiations and networking is a must
- Fluency in English and ability to communicate effectively and persuasively across a diverse set of stakeholders
- Organizational, multitasking and problem solving skills are strong assets
- Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in a demanding and fast-paced environment that requires fresh thinking, innovation and dedication
- You have profound knowledge in operational Procurement
- Previous Ariba experience will be considered an asset
