Job Description
Ella Hotels and Resorts, a leading eco-chic hospitality collection, seeks a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team. Working in the hospitality industry is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, where exceptional quality and high service standards are vital. In 2023, Ella Resorts is planning to operate a portfolio of 6 lifestyle amp; family resorts on the islands of Rhodes amp; Corfu, and this is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the team from the very beginning.
As a Junior Accountant at Ella Resorts, you will be responsible for a range of accounting duties, including supporting the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, and reconciling accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, be diligent and organized, and eager to learn more about accounting within the hospitality industry.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts
- Support the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Monitor and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve any issues
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Participate in the development and improvement of accounting processes and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience in the hospitality industry is a plus
