We are now looking for an experienced Oracle DBA with strong technical skills and solid working experience to work in new challenging projects.
As an Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for maintaining and administering our database systems to ensure their optimum performance, security, and availability. Additionally, you will be required to work closely with our development teams to support the integration of our applications with the databases. Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle server software and related products.
- Manage the databases to ensure their performance, security, and availability meet our SLAs.
- Develop and maintain database designs, standards, and procedures.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Monitor the databases to resolve issues or incidents, and prevent their reoccurrence.
- Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexes, tablespaces, and other parameters.
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate the database with the applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
- At least 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle database architecture, administration, and performance tuning.
- Good understanding of database security, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability options.
- Proficient in SQL and PL/SQL scripting.
- Familiar with Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
