About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Fashion Buyer to become an integral part of our buying team. Your primary mission will be to guarantee that our business consistently maintains a robust inventory that upholds the impeccable quality and diverse range of products that define the renowned brand of Celestino.
As a Fashion Buyer, your role will involve international travel to seek out new products, carry out regular reviews to stay informed about current trends, and conduct negotiations with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing.
The role involves embarking on exciting internationaltrips forapproximately 60 percent of your work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Identify and procure new products while evaluating the quality and market demand for existing stock items.
- Identify customer preferences and forecast consumer trends
- Evaluate supplier options according to prices, quality etc. and determine the best choices
- Negotiate terms of agreements to achieve the best deal for our company
- Create reports on sales, budgets and customer satisfaction and adjust your strategies accordingly
- Forge and maintain trust relationships with existing suppliers to promote fair dealing and source new suppliers for future products
- Travel abroad to identify new possible suppliers and products
Requirements
- Previous work experience in relevant field; experience as a Fashion Buyer is an advantage
- Working proficiency in English and at least one of the following languages: French or Italian
- Willingness and availability to travel internationally
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrable aptitude in effective negotiating
- Familiarity with market research, data analysis and forecasting techniques
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- High school diploma; BSc/BA in business administration or relevant field will be considered a plus
