The Technical Design Engineer audits, analyzes, and designs customized energy solutions regarding Renewable Energy Systems (RES), combined with storage technologies in different kinds of facilities, such as commercial and industrial buildings of the private and/or public sector.
What will you do:
- Conduct on-site audits, field inspections, and sub-metering to collect data for RES systems installation projects.
- Communicate with customers to obtain all the appropriate information for the energy analysis in agreement with the Sales Engineering section.
- Designs RES (PV, biomass, small wind turbines, etc.) combined with storage systems (batteries or other) for new projects.
- Inspect and/or monitor existing distributed generation energy systems in buildings for the proper dimensioning of storage systems.
- Evaluates energy production and storage possibilities by reviewing architectural, mechanical, and electrical plans of a customer site.
- Consult the site engineers for installation/integration of energy-efficient systems (mechanical or electrical).
- Handle vendors, sending and receiving all the required information for proposal creation.
- Visit customers together with the Sales engineer/s and present customized proposals/offers being able to address both technical and commercial terms.
- Prepare presentation material for customer proposals according to the Division’s needs.
- Formulate customized business models and/or business analyses.
- Works along with the Sales team in the day-to-day customer management and assists Sales in the closing of the deal with the customer, as necessary.
- Scout the market and propose new technologies and innovations to further strengthen internal engineering design skills
What you will need in order to succeed:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- A Master’s degree would be considered as a plus
- At least 3-4 years of relevant working experience in an organized technical projects consultation or industrial environment
- Experience in design and consulting in RES or energy storage projects
- Chartered Engineering Status, Member of the Technical Chamber of Greece
- Professional ability to speak and write in English
- Solid Software Skills, MS Office, MS Project, CAD programs
- Excellent analysis and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, customer management, interpersonal and teamwork skills
- People management skills
