On behalf of our client, a super fast-growing delivery service company, we are currently looking for a self-driven IT Systems amp; Cloud Engineer, to join its software development team.

A day in the life of a Big Data Engineer

As an IT Systems amp; Cloud Engineer, your daily journey is a dynamic blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking. Your day typically begins by delving into the business processes, understanding the core requirements, and engineering solutions. You might find yourself building, deploying, and maintaining infrastructure on Cloud Platforms, with a focus on Azure and possibly Google Cloud.

Your day-to-day

· Analyze and understand business processes and requirements

· Deploy and maintain infrastructure on Cloud Platforms (Azure, possibly Google Cloud)

· Create and manage Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD workflows

· Build and manage Gitlab pipelines for CI/CD workflows

· Optimize system performance, investigating and resolving bottlenecks

· Implement and monitor a central monitoring system

· Maintain system security policies

· Collaborate with cloud infrastructure vendors

· Mentor and guide junior cloud engineers

· Configure and maintain Linux servers

· Manage enterprise application integrations and Microsoft Azure technologies

Requirements

· Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform experience is a plus)

· Technical expertise in enterprise application integrations and infrastructure creation

· Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines, including Azure DevOps and Gitlab

· Excellent knowledge of IP, Microsoft Networking, Windows Server Operating Systems, and Ubuntu

· Ability to build, deploy, and maintain systems, network, and security infrastructure

· Familiarity with Active Directory and Fileserver configurations

· Experience in configuring and maintaining Linux servers

· Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices is beneficial

· Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (a plus but not required)

· Experience with continuous integration and deployment tools, particularly Azure DevOps

· Proficiency in deploying, managing, and optimizing enterprise applications
