Job Description

ManpowerGroup, on behalf of its client, a leading company in textiles manufacturing and in the trading of fabrics and linens, is in search of a Logistics Coordinator, to join the company’s office in the Northern Suburbs of Athens, Greece.

The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer (C.O.O).

The Role:

As a Logistics Coordinator, the selected candidate will be responsible for the smooth and optimal storage and movement of the company's products to an external 3PL. His/Her responsibilities include developing, recording, and monitoring the warehouse workflow plan, drafting the necessary documents for the interconnection of the systems, communicating with customers and suppliers, liaising with the 3PL and with the individual departments of the company, extracting statistics and reports from the system and maintaining the plan for optimal storage/movement of codes.

More specifically he/she will:

  • Be responsible for the daily schedule of the orders, expected to be performed by the 3PL provider and for the execution monitoring and 3PL provider response indicators
  • Schedule routes, drivers, and deliveries to agencies and stores in Attica
  • Have daily communication with suppliers for pickups and with customers for deliveries/returns
  • Create and send the appropriate file to the 3PL provider
  • Be responsible for the audit of invoiced work of services provided by provider
  • Maintain a plan for warehouse space optimization. Planning of alternative actions, based on WMS system statistics, to minimize storage and handling costs
  • Report on velocity indicators and subsequent planning of appropriate actions
  • Collaborate with purchasing and sales department for optimal box picking and handling
  • Collaborate with the production department for the optimal way of receiving items

Requirements

  • At least 4-6 years of experience, ideally in a 3PL Logistics company
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Logistics, or a relevant field
  • Experienced user of WMS program will be considered an asset
  • Fluency in English, both speaking and writing
  • Demonstrable experience in building and maintaining excellent client relationships
  • High sense of responsibility and self-motivation
  • Strong time management skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
