Currently we are looking for
- System Engineers - Feature Owners for AUTOMOTIVE (telematics),
to be part of our teams, working for the Global Automotive Market, from Greece.
Requirements
Role:
The role of a feature owner is:
- to understand the needs of a customer and applicable regulatory standards and
- to translate them into actionable requirements for the mechanical, electrical, and software development teams.
In that role the feature owner ensures that, the corresponding features meet customer expectations and regulatory standards.
Required seniority:
- seniors (minimum hands on experience: 8 years)
- juniors (minimum hands on experience: 2 years)
Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for translating customer needs/requirements into internal requirements that can be implemented by the development team (for a feature or a set of features)
- Approves the readiness level of a feature
- Member of the Agile Team responsible for defining Stories and prioritizing the Team Backlog having the role as the voice of the customer
- Supports a seamless delivery of the function to the customer across all technical domains
- Manages and discusses technical customer needs and requirements and responsible for collecting and prioritizing input from all relevant stakeholders
- Works directly with the project managers and the development team members to ensure process compliance and timely delivery of the features he/she is responsible for
- Subject matter expert for one or more of the following areas would be beneficial but at least the willingness to quickly get familiar within such topics is a must:
- Voice call
- SMS
- VLAN
- Firewall
- OpenSSL
- Certificate management
- GNSS (GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS)
- Inertial sensors for motion detection
- Bluetooth LE
- Ultra Wideband
- Broadcast Radio (AM, FM, DAB, HD Radio, SiriusXM)
- Media (streaming, MP3/wave player)
- IoT
- 4G, 5G
- Logging/Tracing
- File systems
- Application frameworks (e.g. macchina.io)
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent
- Knowledge of product development engineering practices in IoT , or automotive;
- Technical knowledge of embedded electronics products (HW and/or SW)
- very good oral and written communication skills in English
- Experience in writing technical requirements and higher level architectural designs (for seniority level: seniors)
- Knowledge of analysis and engineering tools such as version control/configuration management, UML tools, static code check tools and other SW development/ quality tools
Beneficial experiences and/or skills (nice to have)
The successful candidates will be part of a team of highly qualified professionals, working for automotive software products, established in Greece (Athens), being involved in the full software development lifecycle. He/she will have a detailed enabling (training on the job) in Greece and/or in Germany.
Prerequisites:
- Ability to travel abroad, as needed ( lt; 10% )
- Participation in a technical interview and a technical test.
