Actionline is currently seeking on behalf of its client BBI - Intrakat RT Joint Venture for an Electrical Engineer to build the Riviera Tower in Ellinikon, Greece. This iconic structure, with 50 storeys and a height of 200m, will stand as the highest building in Greece.

The candidate will have knowledge amp; expertise in delivering projects of large scale in the residential construction arena and play a pivotal role in the design, implementation, and monitoring of electrical systems. The candidate will ensure that all electrical systems meet the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and quality.

The position is based in Athens, Greece, and reports to The Electrical Manager.

Key tasks and responsibilities of this role include:

• System Design[BN1] : Developing detailed, electrical system designs,knowledge in Extra Low Voltage including layouts, schematics, and specifications for the power efficiency and distribution, lighting, and grounding systems, in compliance with local building codes and project requirements and in collaboration with the project team. Perform load calculations and voltage drop analysis to ensure efficient electrical systems. Reduce environmental impact.
• Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the overall project plan. Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans for electrical work.
• Material Selection amp; Procurement: Material Selection amp; Procurement: Liaising with electrical equipment suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring quality materials and services are procured. Specify and select electrical components, including cables, conduits, switches, circuit breakers, and transformers. Work with procurement teams to source materials and equipment while adhering to budget and quality constraints.
• Risk Assessment: Assess electrical risks associated with construction activities and develop mitigation strategies to protect personnel and property.
• Construction site supervision and Implementation: Overseeing the installation of electrical systems, ensuring work is executed according to design and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Maintain and secure power systems[BN2] .
• Cost Control: Ability to follow a specific budget and compare costs
• Testing amp; Commissioning: Conducting rigorous tests to ensure electrical systems are functioning safely and efficiently and leading the commissioning process post-installation.
• Code compliance: Stay current with local, national, and international electrical codes and standards, ensuring all electrical installations meet or exceed regulatory requirements. Obtain necessary permits and approvals for electrical installations
• Safety Protocols: Adhering to and enforcing strict safety standards and protocols, ensuring all electrical work meets the required safety regulations. creating test procedures and maintenance schedules.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other engineering disciplines, architects, and construction teams to agree project specifications, budgets and timescales with clients and colleagues and ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems within the larger project.
• Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of electrical designs, modifications, and tests for future reference and compliance purposes
• Problem-Solving: Quickly addressing and resolving any electrical issues or malfunctions, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines
• Continuous Learning: Staying updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering to incorporate best practices and innovations into the project.
• Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• 8 + years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry.
• Familiarity with Greek electrical codes and standards
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools
• Proven track record in overseeing the design and implementation of large-scale electrical systems.

• Feedback amp; Reporting: Providing regular updates on the progress, challenges, and solutions related to the electrical aspects of the project to senior management.
