Found.ation is looking for a reliable and motivated Finance amp; Accounting Associate to join our team. The candidate must be tech-savvy and have a strong understanding of financial amp; accounting principles. The Finance amp; Accounting Associate will play a key role in monitoring all daily financial and accounting operations, with a goal to enable the company’s leaders to make sound business decisions and actively assist in the growth of the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee company’s accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll functions.
- Liaise with external accountants, lawyers and auditors to ensure appropriate running of company finances amp; projects.
- Develop and maintain financial amp; accounting policies amp; procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and best practices.
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to the senior management.
- Manage amp; monitor cash flow report, project budgets, and financial forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and revenue growth opportunities to advice the team on further courses of actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes and project management activities.
- Ensure the smooth and adequate flow of information within the company to facilitate other business operations.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Postgraduate degree will be considered an asset.
- At least 2 or 3 years of experience at an Accounting and/or Financial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
- Be technologically savvy and have the ability to use new digital tools or financial software systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong sense of ownership for quality of work and deliverables.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
