Job Description

ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of its client, a leading company that offers comprehensive global transit solutions, is seeking a Logistics Manager, for the company's project based?in Volos.

The role will report to Supply Chain Manager.

Responsibilities:

The job holder will be responsible for all warehouse activities including process control and capacity assurance, will assign tasks and manage the Warehouse Technicians, ensuring compliance with the standards and the correct development of the work for the achievement of quality and deadlines.

More specifically he/she will:

  • Manage the receipt, storage, custody, preparation, and dispatch of materials, as well as control the necessary means and staff of the local warehouse.
  • Collaborate with the Planning Engineer and the Quality Manager to meet quality targets and deadlines.
  • Manage the inventory of stock material.
  • Ensure the correct material location in the warehouse and the quantitative and visual inspection in the reception (material and packaging)
  • Manage the documentation (delivery note etc.)
  • Be responsible for the data management in the ERP system, giving material input into the system from the origin warehouse and output from the local warehouse to the line.
  • Prepare the list of associated materials (kits) and bulk materials.
  • Agree with the Production Manager on the order and location in which the kits and materials are to be dispatched to the line.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Manager on imports.
  • Transfer shipment information to the freight forwarder and the agent.
  • Coordinate transport from port and airport to local warehouse.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a Logistics Manager
  • BSc in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred
  • Fluency in English and Greek
  • Knowledge of Spanish is considered a benefit
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Good knowledge of ERP SAP
  • Driving license for forklift trucks
  • Excellent interpersonal, social and communication skills
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff
  • Result oriented and adaptable to change
  • Proactiveness and organizational skills
  • Strong team orientation, commitment, and a high degree of self-motivation
