We are looking for a passionate and high skilled senior level Legal Associate, specialized in the areas of Corporate Law amp; Banking amp; Finance, to join our Viva Wallet team in Athens.
More specifically, as a a Senior Legal Associate you will:
- Provide legal advice in Corporate and Commercial Law matters;
- Review amp; draft commercial contracts;
- Draft Corporate Resolutions;
- Counsel on Corporate Financing;
- Handle Private equity investments transactions (structuring, Legal Due Diligence, Term sheets);
- Provide strategic legal guidance to executives in the context of Group’s day-to day operations;
- Support Banking amp; Financial products amp; services development (counseling on legal aspects amp; contracts drafting);
- Liaise amp; coordinate with external legal advisors.
Requirements
To be considered you should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and an LL.M in commercial law related areas (preferably in Banking amp; Finance)
- At least 7 years of legal experience as a qualified lawyer at a prominent Greek law firm, law office or in-house position,
- Deep knowledge of Greek Corporate Law and familiarization with financial services legislation (in particular Payment amp; Banking Services)
- Demonstrable experience in commercial and banking law, especially in regulatory related issues (e.g. PSD2, CRR/CRD etc.).
- Experience in dealing with complex legal issues amp; transactions with significant financial impact;
- Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple and demanding projects
- The ability to build relationships with co-workers across Europe, business partners and local supervising authorities;
- The ability to work well both independently and in a team environment, including senior management
- The ability to work comfortably in an intense, fast-paced environment and successfully manage and meet deadlines;
- An excellent command of the English language. Any additional European language is considered a plus;
- Computer literacy
